Betta Residence – Testimonial
Primarily, we worked with Josh Anns, but it doesn’t matter if its Josh or George. They are both perfectionists, and so are their subcontractors. The result is unsurpassed quality. The carpenters, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, tile, flooring, landscaping, and painting and staining crews all have the highest standards.
We put a significant addition on a lake cottage built in the 1950s. In a situation such as ours an unexpected problem is sure to arise. In our case we needed to deal with the lack of sufficient foundation in front of the existing cabin. Working with our architect, Anns Construction creatively dealt with the issue at minimum additional cost.
My wife and I wanted the addition to look as if it were part of the original cottage. Josh teamed well with the architect and us to produce the desired effect. The little details in the added and enlarged rooms are taken from the original cabin and the tongue and groove used on the walls is stained to a near perfect match.
In addition, we desired a number of custom items in the cottage: a built in bench in the foyer, a cabinet in between the dining room and the kitchen, and bureaus built into the closets. Exhibiting their willingness to work with the customer, Anns Construction subcontracted to a cabinet maker who delivered the specialized items with the same uncommon quality that characterized the project as a whole.
Finally, since my wife and I didn’t want to miss a summer at the cottage, the construction was performed while we occupied the cabin. Josh was exceptionally well organized, and he and his crews worked around us and with our schedule to deliver the project in a timely fashion. His flexibility saved the season for us.
In summary, we could not ask for anything more out of a construction company. Anns Construction gets our unqualified recommendation.”
